Nothing Doing
Jesmonite homeware
Nothing Doing is an ongoing self-initialted project to create eco friendly homeware with a focus on sustainability, nature and fun.
Due to the pandemic, a lot of my client projects fell through and I had some free time, so I went on a lot of countryside walks and started sketching shapes of rivers, vines and wriggly creatures. These became ideas for wiggly pots and soap dishes. Using my very limited modelling skills, I drew them up in C4D, bought a 3D printer and some plant based eco-filament which meant I could turn them into real objects. From there I made silicone molds that allowed me to cast the shapes with jesmonite - a water-based eco-resin.
I named the project Nothing Doing in celebration of being idle, not doing a lot, just observing and thinking, which I think is when some of the best creative ideas happen.
